Pumpkin Carving Can Be Dangerous With A Toddler... Who Knew???

We carved our Pumpkin the other night. Charlie was SO excited to be a part of the momentous event! He wanted to 'help' me with the knives so badly. He had to settle for the spoon. We went out at sunset and got a cool picture through the trees. We tried to get a picture of the pumpkin but the wind kept blowing the candle out. We have a Halloween play date on Thursday and then Trick-or-Treating on Friday, so more pictures are on the way- stay tuned...

Anderson Farm Pumpkin Patch

More Pumkin Patch

We went back to Anderson Farms this year to get our pumpkin. We love this farm. They have a buffalo and some long haired highland cows. They also had a Llama and her newborn baby, sheep, ducks, chickens, goats and rabbits. Charlie can do all the animal sounds and even got the sheep to talk back to him- it was hilarious. My friend Laura went with us to help me with the boys- it was great to have the help. Enjoy looking.

I guess i should post the "couple more" first so they show up in order. Whatever the case, here's some others from the hike. It started off very windy when we got to the trailhead but warmed up into a beautiful day.

Yet another hike

This past weekend we went up to Rocky Mountain National Park and did an awesome hike to Cub Lake. it was moderately difficult and provided great scenery. We had our picnic around the lake and enjoyed the wildlife...which literally came right up and stole our food from us. Charlie is quite the explorer and must look under every rock and collect every pine cone but provides for some great humor.

We've been looking for a kitchen for Charlie because he loves to play with all the gadgets. Last weekend's trip to Costco provided a perfect temporary cooktop. Oh yeah, and he likes to put the stickers on himself rather than the sticker book, in case you were wondering.

Another hike last weekend

We went to the same state park and within a week most of the trees had started to change. It was a great day and a long hike; I can't believe it's already heading into fall.
