Pumpkin Patch '09

Hello family and friends. We went to 2 pumpkin patches today! First the boys and I went to the Anderson Farm where we've gone for the past 2 years, and then Daddy called us and said he was home and would like to go to the Munson Farm down the road with the boys too. So we stopped at home and picked him up and headed out for family pumpkin fun and pizza night! It was a beautiful, crispy-cool fall day. Perfect pumpkin weather!

































I was a little difficult to get Henry to look at the camera, he was so interested in all the pumpkins. There were still a ton of pumpkins left. The hay ride driver told us that they have over 13 varieties. The fields are filled with gourds, squash and different breeds. Henry liked the gourds and Charlie found us a terrific pumpkin. We'll carve it tomorrow so stay tuned for more pictures. The wagon ride was a treat. Charlie was a great big brother and held on tight to Henry.

Farmer Munson has a beautiful little farm and had this pumpkin display, I thought it was really pretty.

OCTOBER- Fall Fun!

We found a great deal on a train table on Craigslist.com. We decided to get it early so Santa can bring more tracks and trains for Christmas and Birthday. It has been one of the best toys we purchased. They love to build on it and drive cars on it.








































































We went to Estes
park for a weekend to see the Elk and the fall Aspens in the National Park. Henry has been particularly silly lately and we captured a few of his antics at breakfast. He cleans up nicely too! They both enjoyed the little kitchen in the condo and 'cooking'.









































































































We went to Upper Beaver Meadows to hike. It's a very easy and beautiful hike. Just
perfect for my first trek since April! It was about 50 degrees and we could smell campfires from the campgrounds- we are ready to start acquiring our own camping supplies!



































































The boys got to do a little hiking of their own. Charlie is quite the rock hopper!
The Elk were terrific. One was pretty large and a little too imposing for our taste. This big bull was bugleing and rushing towards the road. Charlie was very upset, so we didn't do much more Elk watching after that.




















































































































































































































Sunday morning the boys woke up full of energy! We went to Bear lake and walked the little nature trail around the lake. Charlie was very excited about the snow that fell the night before. The lake was beautiful. We also met a little chipmunk who was very curious about Charlie and Charlie was just as curious about him!
