NeeNee sent a surprise to Charlie

Since he's taken a music class (and his first animal sound was a neigh) in which his favorite song is "Trot Old Joe" NeeNee found this great horse toy for Charlie. These pictures show Charlie's effort just getting the box inside, then opening and riding the toy. He gets such a kick out of boxes sent by the grandparents.

Thanks to NeeNee for finding and sending this - he really loves it.

(Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Hannah too for their care packages. We all feel very loved for all the gifts we receive for the boys.)

At the Aquarium

We went to the Denver aquarium last week to show Charlie and Henry all the fishies. I had never been in all the years I've lived out here and thought it was pretty neat...though it funnels you through the exhibits pretty quickly and Charlie of course sprinted all the way to the end and we then backtracked through the exhibits.

Charlie really liked to see all the fish and reptiles (and even a tiger) up close. He's seen Finding Nemo and of course picked out all the clown fish, sharks, turtles, etc.

In one picture you can see the bandage on Henry's hand from the cut he received, accidentally, from Charlie. He grabbed a knife I had used to cut a banana and then tried to help "feed" Henry. Luckily, it only knicked the tip of one finger but could havebeen much worse. After a week Henry's cut has healed and he's all good.

Maybe it's a belssingin disguise...it's on the middle finger of Henry's potential throwing hand...a scar could produce a mean curveball...but I say this in jest only because nothing more serious happened.

A few new random ones of the boys.

You'll see Henry is up on all fours now. He's getting the crawling thing down. I'd say in the next week he's gonna be scooting all around the house.

Here's a few more of Charlie...

He likes to do his "email" and surf the web. He's been compared to the E*trade baby but I think Charlie's older now.

and the latest from the professionals...

I've cropped a few of Henry because we did not want his bare backside on the internet.

and now Henry...

By the way, our world has changed for good. He went mobile in the last couple days. He attempted to crawl last week and by this evening was really scooting along. Like his older brother he is a total ham for the camera.

more of Charlie...

Dana was in town to help after Lindsay's knee surgery. Charlie wanted to mug for the camera, of course.

I know it's been awhile ...

since we last posted. We've had a couple weeks of a household bug then some very busy days in the wake of Lindsay's knee surgery. But, everyone is on the mend and I can post some pictures from these last few weeks.

Here's Charlie fooling around on our old rocking chair and then at a playground after a hike. We've had some unseasonably warm weather lately with several days in the mid-70's.
